PHHP announces 50th Anniversary Lecture Series fall schedule

Mark your calendars: The University of Florida College of Public Health and Health Professions announces the fall schedule for the college's 50th Anniversary Lecture Series, which will bring some of the nation's top health policy and rehabilitation researchers to UF in celebration of the college's milestone anniversary.

Series lecturers and dates are listed below.

Friday, Sept. 19

"The Future of Employer-Sponsored Health Insurance" by Michael A. Morrisey, Ph.D., a professor of health care organization and policy at the University of Alabama Birmingham. HPNP Complex, Room G101, 11:45 a.m. to 12:35 p.m.

Friday, Sept. 26

"Do Medicare Beneficiaries Have Too Much Choice?: An Examination of Stand-Alone Drug Plans" by Thomas Rice, Ph.D., a professor of health services and vice chancellor for academic personnel at UCLA. HPNP Complex, Room G101, 11:45 a.m. to 12:35 p.m.

Friday, Oct. 3

"Medicare: A Building Block for Health Reform" by Karen Davis, Ph.D., president of The Commonwealth Fund. HPNP Complex, Room G101, 11:45 a.m. to 12:35 p.m.

Friday, Nov. 21

"The Future of Disability in America" by Alan M. Jette, Ph.D., a professor of health policy and management at Boston University. HPNP Complex Auditorium, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
