John H. Armstrong, M.D.
John H. Armstrong, M.D., an assistant professor of surgery, received the 2008 Special Recognition Award from the Surgical Caucus of the American Medical Association for displaying dedication and excellence while serving as chair of the caucus for the past three years. He was also appointed to the Health Policy Steering Committee of the American College of Surgeons and played a significant role in developing the ACS Health Policy Agenda for 2009. In addition, he was recently elected to the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, which promotes research and education regarding burns, trauma and acute care surgery.
