Tetsuo Ashizawa, M.D., named chair of UF's department of neurology

Tetsuo Ashizawa, M.D., chair of the department of neurology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, has been named chair of UF's department of neurology. Ashizawa's appointment begins in April. "Ashizawa is a superlative clinician and administrator with a distinguished research program," said College of Medicine Interim Dean Michael L. Good, M.D. "He will lead the neurology department to new heights in its missions to conduct world-class research, provide excellent patient care and prepare students and residents for the clinical and academic challenges of tomorrow."
