UF psychiatry department hosts Springhill open house

The department of psychiatry at the University of Florida College of Medicine is inviting area physicians and the public to attend an open house from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 8, at its Springhill Center, 8491 NW 39th Ave. in Gainesville.

The event will feature the department's transcranial magnetic stimulation technique, which uses powerful magnetic fields that pulse in fractions of a second to induce a small electrical current in the brain.
