UF nursing professor named UF Research Foundation professor
Charlene A. Krueger, Ph.D., R.N., an associate professor at the University of Florida College of Nursing, has been named a University of Florida Research Foundation Professor for 2012-2015.
Krueger was one of 33 UF faculty members recognized for a distinguished record of research and a strong research agenda that will likely lead to continued distinction in her field. Krueger’s research focuses on biobehavioral measures in the fetus and premature infant. Her work on fetuses’ and preterm infants’ capability of learning and remembering has been funded by the National Science Foundation.
The three-year UFRF recognition awards a $5,000 annual salary supplement as well as a one-time $3,000 grant. The professorships are funded from the university’s share of royalty and licensing income on UF-generated products.
The selection of UFRF professors is based on recommendations from college deans and department chairs, a personal statement and an evaluation of research accomplishments.
