UF veterinarians take care of ill tiger

A 7-year-old tiger , a patient at the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital, is being evaluated for decreased appetite and signs of gastrointestinal discomfort. Here, UF veterinarians prepare to perform an ultrasound of the tiger’s stomach and intestinal tract on Feb. 10. Currently the cat remains at UF pending the results of medical tests. Veterinarians report that the tiger began eating more normally over the weekend. Taking care of the animal is Deborah Shanks, Lauren Unger, Stacey West, Kevin Chadbourne and Dr. Dan Vanderhart.
