Our physicians are faculty members at the University of Florida, certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and expertly trained to provide patients with the full spectrum of pediatric services.

Adolescent / young adult program

The Adolescent/Young Adult Program is located at the UF Health Pediatrics – Gerold L. Schiebler CMS Center. University of Florida physicians in the adolescent/young adult program offer primary care to children ages 10 to 21.

Our providers address areas specific to adolescence, including:

  • Psychosocial evaluations
  • School problems
  • Gynecological evaluations
  • Family planning
  • Drug and alcohol use
  • Dietary needs
  • We can also provide sports physicals upon request

Education and training

Educational services on adolescent issues are provided to our patients and their families. We provide education about:

  • Eating disorders
  • Family problems
  • Nutrition and weight counseling
  • Peer pressure
  • Sexuality and adolescent development
  • Sexually transmitted diseases
  • Social skills
  • Vocational planning

We also provide valuable in-service training sessions for health care professionals and educational programs to local school students.

Center for breastfeeding & newborns

The center is a non-profit sponsored by UF Health and UF College of Medicine. The center provides support for breastfeeding families that is family centered, evidence-based and culturally sensitive.

UF Health Pediatrics and Pediatric Specialties are pleased to report that our practices will be increasing in-person visits while continuing, in some cases, to offer telehealth visits.
