Biography
Anamaria Yeung, MD is a clinical associate professor with the department of radiation oncology at the University of Florida College of Medicine.
Dr. Yeung completed her residency training at the University of Florida. Her specialties include gynecologic cancers, lung cancers, and stereotactic body radiotherapy for metastatic cancer. In 2009, she became as an assistant professor in UF’s department of radiation oncology, and she is now an associate professor and residency program director.
Dr. Yeung’s research interests include improving the treatment of gynecologic cancers, graduate medical education in radiation oncology, and improving the quality and safety of radiation therapy delivery. Her research has been published in various peer-reviewed medical journals, including the Journal of Clinical Oncology, and the International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology and Physics. Dr. Yeung is an active participant in the Cervix Cancer Subcommittee of the Gynecologic Committee in NRG Oncology and the American Brachytherapy Society, as well as a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO). She also serves as the executive editor in gynecologic oncology, thoracic oncology and quality improvement/patient safety for the journal Practical Radiation Oncology
In addition to her research, Dr. Yeung has been honored with various awards, such as the Best of ASTRO Award and the Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology (ARRO) Educator of the Year Award. Her clinical interests include gynecologic cancers, lung cancers, stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) and women’s health.
