Biography
Dhaval Naik, DO, is an assistant professor of cardiovascular medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Naik received his diploma in mechanical engineering at Government Polytechnic in Gujarat, India. Additionally, he received an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering with a concentration in bioengineering from Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. Dr. Naik obtained his doctorate degree at the Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine. He was awarded an Outstanding Achievement Award in the specialty of internal medicine in 2014, shortly before coming to the University of Florida College of Medicine to start his residency.
Dr. Naik completed both his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Florida College of Medicine. His academic research is focused on patient care, quality of service and cardiovascular complications. Additionally, Dr. Naik is proficient in reading and writing in Hindi and Guajarati and is interested in sports, such as cricket.
