Biography

Krystal Bittar, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist licensed in Florida with over 10 years of experience. She has worked with patients with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, parenting problems and disruptive behavior disorders. She has helped patients of varying ages, including children, adolescents and young adults. She has also supported parents using an evidenced-based approach called Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Florida and her Master’s and Doctorate at Carlos Albizu University in Miami. She completed an APA-approved internship at Miami Children’s Hospital - Inpatient psychiatry unit. In 2010, she returned to UF for a postdoctoral residency in the Clinical and Health Psychology Department providing individual and family therapy to children in a rural school district of North Central Florida. From 2012-2016, she worked in Miami providing clinical services in a community mental health setting.

Clinically, she specializes in the assessment and treatment of children, ages 2.5 to 8, who have a wide range of concerns, including disruptive behavior disorders, anxiety, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder and poor self-regulation skills. She focuses on assisting the family with strategies to reduce disruptive behaviors. In addition, she works with children experiencing anxiety and depression using cognitive behavioral therapy interventions to reduce symptoms and teach coping strategies.
