The University of Florida Student Health Care Center Concussion Databank

Purpose

We are asking permission from you to store some of your concussion and physical examination information routinely collected during your clinical evaluation at the University of Florida Student Health Care Center in order to use it for future research. This data will be used in future studies to validate current and future concussion management tools and strategies and gain further insight into concussion diagnosis and management.

Procedures

  • We are asking to store concussion-related demographic and medical information.
  • Your information will be kept in an electronic database on the University of Florida Research Electronic Data Capture (REDCap) server. REDCap is a browser based software system used widely for clinical research. It is secure and password protected.

Eligibility

  • Only available to patients at the University of Florida Student Health Care Center with a potential concussion
