About me

I am a clinical associate professor in the UF Division of Nephrology, Hypertension & Renal Transplantation and the director of the UF nephrology fellowship program. I treat patients for various conditions, but I take a special interest in treating kidney stones and collaborating with my urology colleagues in a unique multidisciplinary care model, especially designed for patients with complex kidney stone disease. My goal is to compressively address the etiology of recurrent kidney stones and devise a treatment plan that prevents future stones. I also treat patients with end stage kidney disease on hemodialysis in the affiliated DCI Dialysis Center, along with other conditions such as hyperparathyroidism, chronic kidney disease or hypertension.

I earned my Bachelor of Medicine at Lady Hardinge Medical College in India and completed my internal medicine residency at University College of Medical Sciences in India. After moving to the United States, I completed a second internal medicine residency at Wayne State University followed by a fellowship in nephrology at Harvard University in 2013.

Medicine has allowed me to touch lives of so many people every day. I consider myself very fortunate to be able to make a meaningful difference in the lives of my patients. When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading and traveling.
