Biography

My name is Sanjeev Kumar, MD, and I am the Medical Director of UF Health Pain Medicine –Springhill, Director of the endoscopic spine fellowship and an Associate Professor in the University of Florida Division of Pain Medicine. I received my bachelor’s degrees in medicine and surgery from Delhi University in India. Afterwards, I completed a residency in anesthesiology at Delhi University/Safdarjung Hospital before interning at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center where I completed a residency in anesthesiology and a fellowship in pain medicine. I also received additional training in Endoscopic Spine Surgery from renowned international experts over the years.

I decided to become a doctor to help people that suffer from acute or chronic pain. I strive to get to the bottom of why you are hurting so that we can fix the problem.

My grant-funded research work uses artificial intelligence in image analysis to create smart software that can guide future fluoroscopy-guided procedures. Endoscopic spine surgery, trigeminal neuralgia and facial/head pain are specific interests of mine, as is generally any chronic pain from head to toe.

In my free time, I enjoy traveling, playing with my kids and table tennis.
