Our comprehensive education classes include preparation for childbirth, prenatal newborn, postpartum and breastfeeding classes, as well as breastfeeding education and support groups. We are proud of our highly experienced care team and the community physicians, midwives, and anesthesiologists who serve the families in our area.
With your new child on the way, the last thing you want to be concentrating on is registering for your hospital stay. UF Health Flagler Hospital offers maternity pre-admission so that the only thing on your mind is this momentous occasion.
At UF Health Flagler Hospital our aim is to make your birthing experience a positive one, from the time you arrive at UF Health Flagler Hospital until you go home with the newest member of your family.
From childbirth classes, to sleep and car seat safety, we have the resources to help you make the right decisions for you and your child.
Classes and support
They are taught by the OB Outreach Nurse and additional Labor and Delivery Nurses.
This class covers the anatomy of pregnancy, stages of labor, vaginal delivery, hospital procedures and medications, cesarean sections, and comfort measures.

The third class discusses postpartum care, tips and tricks, newborn care and medical interventions at the hospital, hands-on practice of changing a diaper, swaddling, holding a newborn, infant CPR, and how to give a bath.
A free mother-to-mother support group open to all new moms who need guidance with newborn care, breastfeeding andĀ bottle feeding and newborn weight checks.
UF Health Flagler Hospital offers complimentary prenatal yoga classes for all our expectant moms.
