UF Health physicians and trained staff care for some of the area’s top athletes and provide medical care for the University of Florida Gators, Santa Fe Saints and many local high schools. They are the “team behind the team” and take care of Gator athletes in all sports including football, basketball, swimming and diving, baseball and softball, track and field, gymnastics, soccer, tennis, volleyball, golf and lacrosse. Our sports medicine team are international leaders in the field. They have received sports grants from US Lacrosse, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and Shape America, improving medical care for exercise and sports injuries and mentoring the sports medicine physicians of tomorrow.
