Pulmonary rehabilitation is an important part of quality care for patients with chronic respiratory disease. There is an increasing number of patients with these medical problems and pulmonary rehabilitation is designed to alleviate symptoms, optimize daily function, and improve disability.
UF Health offers outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation at both UF Health Leesburg Hospital and UF Health Spanish Plaines Hospital.

Our pulmonary rehabilitation program combines tailored exercises, one-on-one training and health education. This combination is geared towards increasing exercise tolerance and improving breathing.

People with chronic respiratory conditions can benefit from pulmonary rehabilitation. While it is best to start treatment before breathing symptoms become severe, even people with advanced lung disease can be helped by pulmonary rehabilitation.
