Maternal fetal care

The team is comprised of trained physicians, urogynecologists, pelvic surgeons, gynecologists and nurses experienced in the diagnosis, care and management of female pelvic floor disorders.

Gynecologic Oncology

Physicians at UF Health Women's Center specializing in gynecologic oncology treat a number of invasive gynecologic cancers, including those of the uterus, cervix, vagina, ovaries, fallopian tubes, and vulva. Specialized treatment is delivered through one of the most advanced cancer centers in the United States. The UF Health Cancer Center carries the designation of "Best Hospitals in America" for cancer care by U.S. News and World Report. And the multidisciplinary approach to gynecologic cancer care employed by UF Health physicians is only available through an academic hospital.

Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery

Historically, gynecologic surgery has been performed by way of large incisions into the abdomen and required extensive hospital stays and long recovery periods for patients. Today, UF Health specialists employ the latest technology to perform minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS), which results in less blood loss during surgery, lower post-operative pain, less scaring and much faster recovery times. Endometriosis is an example of a disease that UF Health physicians treat with MIGS at high success rates. The goal is to treat patients using the least invasive methods possible to avoid complications and the need for follow-up procedures.
