Biography

Suman Ghosh, MD, MPA, is board-certified in child neurology, epilepsy and general pediatrics. He joined the faculty at the University of Florida in 2014. A graduate of the State University of New York at Downstate College of Medicine, he completed his pediatric training at Children’s Hospital of Orange County and his child neurology training at Children’s Hospital of Orange County/UCI Medical Center.

Dr. Ghosh’s main clinical interests include pediatric brain injury, stroke, neurocritical care, neuronal rehabilitation, spasticity and cerebral palsy. In January 2015, he founded a pediatric spasticity center at UF Health to provide evaluation and treatment of children with spasticity from cerebral palsy and brain and spine injuries. Through the clinic, Dr. Ghosh performs botulinum toxin (Botox™) injections for spasticity, torticollis and dystonia. He has also developed the Pediatric Brain Injury Program at UF. This is a multidisciplinary clinic with pediatric rehabilitation, neonatology and pediatric cardiology to provide comprehensive care for children with brain injuries.

Dr. Ghosh participates in several national professional societies and committees, including the American Academy of Neurology, Child Neurology Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
