UF Health Movement Disorders and Neurorestoration offers the highest level of integrated, interdisciplinary care for patients with movements and neuropsychiatric disorders. Consolidated in one centralized location, the staff coordinates a myriad of advanced medical and surgical services to deliver motor, cognitive and behavioral diagnosis and treatments.

Movement Disorders and Neurorestoration Team

These services are provided by University of Florida faculty and researchers from 14 different specialty and subspecialty areas, recognized for their ground breaking work in movement disorders.

During the last decade, the expertise of these specialists has made UF Health Movement Disorders and Neurorestoration an international destination for patient care, research and teaching in the field of movement disorders. The prominence of our program is reflected by the multiple centers of excellence represented. These include a National Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence, Tyler’s Hope Center for a Dystonia Cure, and an NIH designated headquarters of the nationwide Clinical Research Consortium for Spinocerebellar Ataxias.

Where we treat patients

UF Health Movement Disorders and Neurorestoration lives on a single floor (4th floor of the Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Institute on 34th street across the street from the UF Hilton) and has over 10,000 square feet of dedicated interdisciplinary space. All specialists live together in a side by side arrangement– with clinical services, an automatic gait and balance machine, rehab services, a MRI, a swallow suite, laboratory space, a database, a tele-medicine room, and dedicated clinical trials space.
