Center and Rehab Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment exterior

The Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment Disorders (CAN) provides centralized and state-of-the-art transdisciplinary diagnostic and clinical treatment services for children and adults with neurodevelopmental disorders.

The mission of the Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment at the University of Florida (UF) is to explore the causes of neurodevelopmental disorders, design more effective intervention strategies and implement policies and model facilities to ensure that affected children and their families have access to the integrated services they require.

UF Health CAN is composed of expert providers across the University system, including physicians, psychologists, behavioral therapists and rehabilitation providers, UF Center for Autism and Related Disorders and partners with and Florida Autism Center.

Patient navigators are available to assist with coordination of services, resource exploration and family support.

The UF Health Rehab Center – The Health Park

The UF Health Rehab Center – The Health Park is housed at the UF Health Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment and provides evaluation and treatment for children with autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. We provide occupational, physical and speech therapy services for patients of all ages. Therapy is provided intensively, three or more times weekly over a specified duration. Care is closely coordinated with applied behavior analysts, psychologists, psychiatrists, patient navigators, ancillary services (such as social work, nutrition, etc.) and school systems to provide care for the children of our surrounding communities. Our therapists collaborate in research that leads to improved care and quality of life for those living with pediatric disorders.
