Brenda Krygowski

OPS Faculty

Dr. Krygowski is OPS faculty for the UF Health Palliative Care Program, providing clinical care for the inpatient palliative care team. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Albany with two Bachelors in Biology and German. She graduated from University of Buffalo with a medical degree. Dr. Krygowski then completed a residency in family medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School at Portsmouth Family Medicine. During her training, Dr. Krygowski was awarded the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine Resident Teaching Award for Excellence in Education as well as both the intern and graduating resident of the year awards.

She is dual board-certified in Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She has almost 3 years experience as being a hospitalist prior to completing her fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the University of South Florida.
As a family medicine physician, she follows the objective to advance the values inherent to family medicine, including promoting humanitarian, educational and scientific initiatives that improve the health of all people.

Her mission at UF Health is to proactively identify opportunities to improve the care delivered to patients and families, as well as provide education for hospital staff, residents and students while also delivering quality care, enhancing communication for early identification of goals of care, and reducing pain.
