Caroline Gelber Rehfuss, PA

Cara GelberCaroline "Cara" Gelber Rehfuss is a Physician Assistant (PA) with the Palliative Care Service. Cara graduated from the College of Charleston in South Carolina where she studied Studio Art and Biology. After college, she lived in Moshi, Tanzania where she volunteered as a health care provider in Amani Center for Street Children for seven months before returning state side for PA school. In 2012, she graduated from Emory University School of Medicine with a Master's degree in Medical Science and Physician Assistant Studies.

For the first three years after graduation, she worked as a PA in the Emergency Department at UF Health Shands. In 2016 she joined the Pediatric Palliative Care Team which is where she has been working ever since.

In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family, riding bikes, cooking (and eating), photography, traveling and volunteering with Guardian ad Litem.
