Caroline Gelber, PA

Cara GelberCaroline "Cara" Gelber is a Physician Assistant (PA) with the Palliative Care Service. Cara graduated from the College of Charleston in South Carolina where she studied Studio Art and Biology. After college, she lived in Moshi, Tanzania where she volunteered as a health care provider in Amani Center for Street Children for seven months before returning state side for PA school.  In 2012, she graduated from Emory University School of Medicine with a Master's degree in Medical Science and Physician Assistant Studies.

For the first three years after graduation, she worked as a PA in the Emergency Department at UF Health Shands.  Palliative Care has always been an area of interest for Cara and she is so happy to have the opportunity to become a part of the UF Health Palliative Care team.

In her spare time, she loves riding bikes, cooking (and eating), photography, traveling and volunteering with Guardian ad Litem.
