The Pharmacogenetics Clinical Consultation Service uses genetic information and works with Internal Medicine providers to choose the medication and doses that are likely to work best for you. Pharmacogenetic testing analyzes DNA relevant to drug response. The results help predict if certain medications will not work, if a different dose of certain medications is warranted, or if a certain medication may cause side effects.
