The University of Florida Health Shands Children’s Hospital is one of the best children’s hospitals in Florida and is ranked in four specialties nationally, according to U.S. News & World Report rankings.

In its annual Best Children’s Hospitals rankings, U.S. News ranked the following four UF Health pediatric programs among the nation’s best this year:

  • Cardiology and Heart Surgery – 26th nationally
  • Diabetes and Endocrinology – 10th nationally
  • Pulmonology & Lung Surgery – 24th nationally
  • Neonatology – 35th nationally

UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital is expanding to exceed the needs of our pediatric patient populations. We will have 204 licensed beds in the children’s hospital when our expansions are complete. Our pediatric residency program, offering a superb entry point either into the practice of pediatrics or into further subspecialty training and an academic career.
