An amputation affects much more than your physician condition. It affects your emotional and spiritual well-being, family, friends, coworkers and your entire world. In order to receive comprehensive care that addresses each of these areas, you need a health care resource that can treat the whole person and not just the injury – a resource like UF Health Shands Rehab Hospital.

UF Health Shands Rehab Hospital consistently exceeds national outcomes for helping people who have had an amputation return to their homes and community at a functional level and in less time than comparable facilities. This is accomplished by our interdisciplinary team approach throughout our continuum of care, from hospital to community. We develop individualized treatment programs that address the physical, cognitive, emotional and functional needs of the patient. These individualized treatment programs maximize each patient's chances for success.
