What is Wellness Coordination?
Wellness Coordination helps students and families connect with the services and support they need.
Wellness Coordinators work with families, school staff, healthcare providers, and community partners to help address barriers that may affect a student’s health, attendance, or success in school.
Research on school-based health services found that students who received care attended about five more days of school each year. Students who received mental health services attended about seven more days. [Source: Lim et al., Journal of Adolescent Health (2023).]

Provide telehealth access
*Coming Soon*
Students, families, and school staff can connect with a UF Health provider through the school Wellness Center when a health need arises.
Telehealth offers convenient access to care without requiring students to leave school or families to leave work. It can also help connect individuals with a primary care provider for ongoing healthcare needs.
Supporting the whole child
Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
Our Wellness Coordinators are here to support students and families throughout St. Johns County Schools. At no cost to families, we help connect you with healthcare, behavioral health services, insurance assistance, and community resources so students can be healthy, engaged, and ready to learn.
