UF Health Pain Medicine at Springhill offers personalized treatments for chronic pain as well as symptoms of mood, anxiety and sleep disorders. Treatment recommendations are based on the results of a thorough individualized assessment.
Our clinical model recognizes each patient’s chronic pain condition results from a unique combination of physical (musculoskeletal, central and peripheral nervous systems), biological (nutritional, medication, psychoactive substance use), psychological (cognitive, behavioral, interpersonal, existential and spiritual) and stress related factors.
By providing each patient with a combination of evidence-based treatments to address the unique collection of factors contributing to that individuals’ pain condition, we are able to achieve the best possible clinical outcomes.
Our mission is to facilitate the highest standard of evaluation and treatment for patients suffering from a broad spectrum of chronic pain conditions. The clinic’s multi-disciplinary model provides “state of the art” evaluations and treatments to serve the unique combination of clinical needs for each patient. We also offer educational programing for patients and families regarding the measurable benefits of healthy lifestyle changes. We strongly encourage patients and their families to be actively involved in disease education and healthy lifestyle adjustment.
Adrian Blotner, MD is the program’s Medical Director and Division Chief of the Adult Pain Medicine at the University of Florida College of Medicine’s Department of Psychiatry. He is double board certified in pain medicine and psychiatry, and a nationally recognized expert in the management of chronic pain disorders, as well as the sleep, anxiety and mood disorder symptoms that commonly occur as a consequence of chronic pain.
