Hannah Shelton - Authors - UF Health
Hannah Shelton joined UF Health communications as a marketing intern in October 2021. She has since graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida’s College of Journalism and Communications with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, and she is pursuing a Master of Arts in Mass Communication with a concentration in public relations.
Although she grew up in Orlando, she is a third-generation Florida Gator and feels a special sense of home in Gainesville. While immersing in the community as an undergraduate student, Hannah worked as the public information officer intern at Alachua County Fire Rescue, a WUFT news reporter and an independent student researcher. She especially enjoyed magazine and feature writing, as she served as the Assistant Editor-in-Chief of Strike Magazine GNV, a multiplatform collegiate fashion publication, and the copy editor of UF’s Orange and Blue Magazine, a student-run publication distributed throughout Florida.
Amid these different pursuits is the central theme of connecting with people and sharing their stories. As a creator, strategist and optimist, Hannah aspires to enrich people’s lives through her work. When she’s not attending graduate school or working at UF Health, she enjoys watching movies, advocating for mental health resources and telling people about her three pet goats.
