Leacy Burton joined the UF Health Cancer Center in August 2021 as a communications specialist to support the center’s communications efforts. Previously she worked as a news media and public relations intern with UF Health Communications. Prior to that, she worked as a Gainesville Sun freelance reporter and completed a number of communications, marketing and social media internships. She is a Central Florida native and a recent graduate of UF with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and double minors in business administration and dance. She is continuing her education, pursuing a master’s degree in Mass Communication specializing in public relations.
