Centering Pregnancy brings women all due at the same time together for their care in a setting that lets moms and providers relax and get to connect on a much deeper and meaningful level. The group creates a supportive environment from which lasting friendships are made.
Benefits to Participating in Centering Pregnancy
- Studies show that Centering Pregnancy groups have improved rates of self-care, health outcomes, and greater self-confidence, resulting in fewer after-hours calls and emergency visits.
- Moms in Centering Pregnancy get to spend 10 times more time with their provider than women in traditional care.
- Groups meet 10 times for 90 minutes.
- After health assessments with your provider, group members have facilitator-led discussions on health topics such as nutrition, common discomforts, stress management, labor and delivery, breastfeeding, and infant care.
Potential participants must select their provider from within the group of approved providers at UF Health Women’s Center and be less than four months pregnant.
