Anna Shavers

Assistant Director of Communications, Fixel Institute

Anna Shavers is the assistant director of communications for the Norman Fixel Institute for Neurological Diseases at UF Health. She previously worked as a communications specialist for the Consortium for Medical Marijuana Clinical Outcomes Research and the Southern HIV and Alcohol Research Consortium at the University of Florida. and served as a community HIV and AIDS outreach coordinator for the Peace Corps in South Africa. She holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and a master’s degree in public administration from Troy University.
