UF Health colorectal surgeons are specifically trained and board certified in their field. Our colorectal surgeons perform a variety of routine and complicated surgeries to treat colon and rectal conditions, including cancers of the anus and colon.

The University of Florida Health Gastrointestinal (GI) Oncology Center provides a comprehensive, compassionate and multidisciplinary approach to caring for patients diagnosed with cancers of the digestive organs. UF Health colorectal surgeons work closely with gastroenterologists and other specialists to treat colon and rectal cancers at UF Health Shands Hospital, recently ranked one of the nation’s top hospitals for cancer care by U.S. News & World Report, as well as one of the region’s top hospitals for gastroenterology and GI surgery.
