UF Primary Care, Pain and Addiction Medicine Conference

The UF Primary Care, Pain and Addiction Conference will provide the latest research and evidence based best practices in the treatment of pain, pain with addiction and addiction patients to primary care providers who are on the frontlines of treating these conditions. Most medical professionals lack the knowledge and training to diagnose or treat pain and addiction effectively. This educational activity is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of the current strategies for the treatment of pain and addiction. The material presented will have an interdisciplinary focus and will be of interest to physicians and other health care professionals who care for patients suffering from pain and addiction. The panel of speakers includes national experts from pharmacology, internal medicine, public policy, addiction research, psychiatry, pain medicine, neurosurgery, addiction medicine, palliative medicine, anesthesiology and primary care.
