Health-care leader named director of University of Florida executive master’s in health administration program

Michael O. Bice, M.H.A., former senior vice president and a health care practice leader for Marsh, a global insurance broker, has been appointed program director of the University of Florida executive master’s in health administration program.

Bice, who has 25 years of experience as a health-care executive, has been associated with the program in UF’s College of Public Health and Health Professions department of health services administration for the past 10 years. He served as a clinical professor and executive in residence in 1994 and has been an adjunct professor in the department since 1995, teaching courses in the executive master’s and on-campus health administration degree programs.

The executive master’s in health administration is designed for working health-care professionals with at least three to five years of work experience. During the two-year program, students come to the UF campus for Saturday and Sunday class sessions about once a month, with the remainder of the coursework completed in a distance education format.
