Komro appointed to scientific committee

Kelli Komro, Ph.D., M.P.H., a UF associate professor of epidemiology and health policy research, has been appointed to the scientific committee of the United Kingdom’s National Prevention Research Initiative, a multidisciplinary project aimed at improving prevention strategies to fight cancer, coronary heart disease and diabetes. Komro, who arrived at UF from the University of Minnesota in October, will contribute to the five-year, $23 million effort by evaluating proposals for disease prevention research funding.
