Levine receives $372,500 from the National Institutes of Health
Ann Marie Levine, M.D., an associate professor of pediatrics, has received $372,500 from the National Institutes of Health to fund research on a protein in the lung and its role in fighting infection. This research could one day help patients with pneumonia, cystic fibrosis and acute respiratory distress syndrome, whose bodies typically do not have enough of the protein.
Levine also recently received a career investigator award from the American Lung Association for her research.
