UF College of Nursing receives grant to support education of doctoral students
Faculty members in the college selected doctoral student Rachel Hunt, R.N., to receive the 2014-2016 scholarship. Hunt’s research interests include improving the quality of life in patients with renal insufficiency and renal failure through education and diet management.
The $10,000 scholarship is offered through the center’s Jonas Nurse Leaders Scholar Program, which works to support the educational development of new nursing faculty.
Hunt will receive the scholarship over a two-year period; during this time, UF will provide her with an additional matching grant.
The UF College of Nursing also received the grant for 2012-2014, and awarded doctoral student Anastasia Albanese-O’Neill the scholarship.
