Todd Taylor is the assistant director of communications for the McKnight Brain Institute at the University of Florida. Among his roles, he oversees and coordinates strategic communications; develops and implements PR strategy; manages online communications; and facilitates media requests.

He joined UF Health Communications in 2014 as a communications coordinator on the Strategic Communications team. In that role he managed publications; assisted with internal, business, public affairs and issues/crisis communications; supported internal clients; served on the media on-call and emergency response teams; and managed the team’s internship program.

Taylor previously worked as a public relations associate for University of Florida Performing Arts and as a journalist for several publications. He holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Central Florida and a master’s degree in journalism from Ball State University.
