Dermal fillers are used for age-related volume loss to the face as well as injection into the lips and perioral area for lip augmentation.

Before the procedure
- Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen and fish oil one week prior to procedure to minimize bruising.
- Avoid dental procedures for at least two weeks before treatment.
After the procedure
- Avoid make-up for up to 12 hours.
- Avoid the following for up to 24 hours: strenuous exercise, extensive heat or sun exposure, alcoholic beverages, abrasive or prescription strength products.
- Resist touching or massaging the treated area.
- Apply cool compresses for a brief period following the procedure to minimize swelling.
- Postpone dental procedures for at least two weeks after treatment.
- Please speak with your provider before scheduling a laser treatment, chemical peel or any other procedure that may involve the treatment site.
