TMJ Rehabilitation
Temporomandibular joint and muscle disorders (TMJ disorders) are problems that affect the chewing muscles and joints that connect your lower jaw to your skull. Symptoms associated with TMJ are typically tied to physical stress on the structures around the joints, which are located on each side of the head.
Headaches, earaches, locking of the jaw and chronic facial pain are just some of the things that can occur as a result of TMJ disorders. At UF Health, we help patients overcome these disorders with methods ranging from simple therapies, medicines, mouth/bite guards or more aggressive treatment.
