About me

Dr. Ritter is an associate professor of medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Global Medicine at the University of Florida. She attended medical school at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville and completed an Internal Medicine internship and residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. As an Infectious Diseases fellow in the combined MGH/BWH fellowship program in Boston, Massachusetts, she researched the impact of the intestinal microbiota on Vibrio cholerae infection. Dr. Ritter has a special interest in bone and joint infections and holds clinics at the UF Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute (OSMI). She is also the VA Site Director for the Infectious Diseases Fellowship Program and serves as Chief Hospital Epidemiologist at the NF/SG Malcom Randall VA Health System.
