My bio

Dr. Alan Sacks is fellowship-trained and board-certified in pediatric gastroenterology. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in microbiology from the University of Alabama, and he received his medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine in Mobile. Dr. Sacks completed his residency training in pediatrics at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, and he performed a fellowship in pediatric gastroenterology at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.

Dr. Sacks serves on the board of directors for the Medical Education Council of Pensacola and on the pharmacy and therapeutics committee for Sacred Heart Health System. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Gastroenterological Association, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America and the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
