Reproductive Endocrinologist (Infertility Specialist)
My name is Alice Rhoton-Vlasak, MD, and I am a board-certified, fellowship-trained reproductive endocrinologist and a professor at the University of Florida Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. I work in the division of reproductive endocrinology and infertility. My educational background includes undergraduate training at Wake Forest University, followed by medical school and residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at UF. I completed my fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. My clinical interests include treatment of conditions that lead to infertility, in addition to other reproductive endocrinology disorders, such as the treatment of hirsutism, amenorrhea and endometriosis. I also take interest in fertility preservation in cancer patients. My practice involves both clinical and surgical care, including in vitro fertilization.
As a physician, it is my goal to educate my patients on the testing they need in order to be well-informed and comfortable with their care. A well-informed patient is our best ally in caring for complex conditions, such as infertility. I also strive to actively listen to patients and their stories to build a therapeutic doctor-patient relationship.
In my free time, I enjoy exercising, growing flowers of all types, spending time with my family and being outside close to nature. I am working to become a master naturalist through the UF programs.
