My bio
Alpa Desai, D.O., currently serves as medical director of the UF Health Family Medicine - Jonesville. She received her doctorate of osteopathic medicine from Western University of Health Sciences through the Health Professions Scholarship Program with the United States Air Force. She then went on to complete her family medicine residency at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base in California. Dr. Desai served for seven years in the United States Air Force prior to joining University of Florida College of Medicine. Her clinical interests include women’s health, preventative health and adolescent health. She has published chapters in the books, Nailing the Written Emergency Board Examination as well as Primary Care for the Emergency Physician, a book in which she also served as co-editor-in-chief. She enjoys spending time with her family, running and volunteering her time with the Food 4 Kids Backpack Program and A Very Good Deed local charitable organizations.
