My bio
My name is Amir Kazory, MD. I serve as a nephrologist, Professor of Medicine, and Chief of the Division of Nephrology, Hypertension, and Renal Transplantation at the University of Florida. My primary academic interests focus on the nephrologic aspects of heart failure, cardiorenal syndrome, fluid management in critically ill patients, disorders of water homeostasis, and the complex interactions between the kidney and heart in various pathological conditions. Since the inception of my nephrology career in France, I have actively engaged in clinical research projects, including studies on extracorporeal and pharmacologic therapies for patients with cardiorenal syndrome and disorders of water homeostasis. These endeavors have resulted in a diverse portfolio of scholarly contributions, including peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. I am also actively involved in the development of educational initiatives at the national level, collaborating with the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Society of Nephrology to train and mentor the next generation of nephrologists in the United States. Additionally, I have had the privilege of being invited to deliver lectures at numerous national and international conferences, sharing insights and advancements in nephrology with audiences across the globe.
