Andrea Macias Mendoza, MD
Anesthesiologist
My bio
My name is Andrea Macias Mendoza, MD, and I joined the UF Department of Anesthesiology in 2020 as an assistant professor in the Division of Multispecialty Anesthesiology. I earned my medical degree from New York Medical College and completed my anesthesiology residency at Saint Barnabas Medical College in Livingston, NJ.
I’m a member of several anesthesiology and medical organizations and have made several contributions to presentations and papers, including on thoracic surgery and emergency intubation in the operating room due to Ludwig’s angina.
In my free time, I enjoy baking, traveling, exercising, and spending time with my husband and dog. I’m also passionate about animals; in 2020 I cofounded a nonprofit dog rescue along with my husband.
