About me
My name is Cameron Smith, MD, PhD, and I am an associate professor with the UF Department of Anesthesiology, as well as the clinical director of research for the Division of Acute and Perioperative Pain Medicine. I joined the department in 2017 as an assistant professor in the Division of Acute and Perioperative Pain Medicine. I earned my medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, where I also completed a PhD in physiology and biophysics. Here at the University of Florida, I completed both my anesthesiology residency and an acute and perioperative pain medicine fellowship. I also completed a research fellowship at UF as the Gravenstein Scholar in Clinical and Translational Science.
Outside of work, I’m an avid SCUBA diver and an accomplished bassist.
