My bio
My name is Charlotte Chaiklin, MD, and I am an assistant professor in the division of general internal medicine. As a Gainesville native, I am happy to return to my community to provide care as a board-certified internal medicine physician. I am passionate about medical education with particular interest in teaching and mentoring medical students and resident physicians. Some of the conditions for which I treat patients for include high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, and heart failure. I also provide preventive care, including vaccination counseling, women’s health services, men’s health services and age-appropriate cancer screenings.
I earned my medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, and completed my residency in internal medicine at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital. I decided to become an internal medicine doctor because I love being a long-term part of my patients' journey through life as a primary care physician.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy hiking the woods of North Central Florida and cooking dinner for my family.
