My bio

My name is Daryl Reust, MD, and I joined the UF Department of Anesthesiology in 2017 as an assistant professor in the Division of Cardiothoracic Anesthesia. I earned my bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Kansas State University and my medical degree from Texas A&M University. I then completed my residency at the University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville and my fellowship in cardiothoracic anesthesiology and translational research at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Prior to coming to UF, I was an assistant professor and associate section chief of cardiovascular anesthesia at the University of Oklahoma. I am certified by the National Board of Echocardiography in advanced perioperative transesophageal echocardiography and am currently involved in research on cardiopulmonary bypass.
