Dr. Winchester’s research interests include health services research and implementation science in the study of delivering high value health care. Specific topics include the evaluation of chest pain in the emergency department and use of cardiac troponin, appropriate use of cardiac imaging, and meta-analysis of clinical outcomes. He has participated in several large scale multicenter trials including PROMISE, ISCHEMIA, and VALOR-QI.
